Hello! My name is Amy Fairlamb McCullough.
I am a graphic designer originally from the Chicago, IL suburban area and currently located in Northeast Tennessee. I have been working for eight years in graphic design and marketing primarily in the real estate and mortgage industries and most currently, learning and education.
I have enjoyed art and creativity from a young age and over time developed an interest in marketing. Graphic design, as it turns out was the perfect medium to combine both disciplines. My passion for design started in high school when I decided to take an elective class in desktop publishing. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for some advanced graphics classes and decided graphic design was a fitting career path. I graduated in December 2014 from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN with my bachelors degree in Graphic Design and minor in Business Administration.
As a designer, I execute my creativity to solve a problem. I believe it’s very important early on in the design process to pay attention to detail, take the time to understand the end goal of the project at hand, and ask the right questions. Over time, I’ve grown to understand the significance of “seeing” which has allowed me to notice details, approach problems and potential ideas with a “design eye” and utilize design thinking in ways I would not have before.
In my free time, I enjoy going on nature walks and exploring new places with my husband and my corgi named Bailey, cooking and enjoying a meal with my family, trying new recipes, home improvement projects and playing board or card games with friends. I love to explore new places locally and travel within the U.S. or internationally whenever possible. It’s my dream to visit Italy someday!
